good point...had to look it up, but Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has a pretty good list of former coaches including bylsma, Michel therrien and blue jackets/team usa head coach todd richards

I kind of like the American coach angle. How awesome would it be to have our American stud center and American coach tool Babcock and the Leafs time after time.

I still don't understand why Bylsma would not be a good hire. Isn't the whole reason why he was run out of Pittsburg was because of Crosby's hissy-fit in the locker room that literally divided the team? I said it before and I'll say it again, Crosby is a great player with world class talent, but he is NOT a good leader and causes too many headaches in my opinion.

If the only excuse for Bylsma winning is because of "Crosby and Malkin", then how come they still haven't made it past the first round without Bylsma? It doesn't solely fall on the coach. Crosby hasn't mature, he's still down a ref's throat after every whistle and is a complete non-factor for his team when mentally thrown off his game.

There's plenty of positive supporting cast here in Buffalo that not many other teams in the NHL have. We have the renovations in downtown and an expanding hockey facility. Also a passionate owner that brings stability to the franchise. Bylsma would be a good fit.

I don't understand how Crosby can be a headache when he does not complain at all year after year they pair him up with scrubs I mean really you have the best player in hockey and you can't give him an elite winger ? if I was him I'd be complaining all the time but he doesn't

I will never forgive him for his disaster of the USA Hockey team red flags up everywhere after that

Well I guess no one's allowed to quote but why is Bylsma to blame for Pittsburgh's problems at all? They didn't do poop all this year and under-achieve every year. They have no depth and no heart. I'll take Bylsma any day of the week.

Isn't this a consistent problem for the USA in the Olympics? Aside from 1980 and that silver softie Miller allowed, team USA usually looks like crap in the Olympics. He did get a Bronze medal this year with a team of nobody's and an 18 year old.

The truth is anything is a massive upgrade over Nolan.

That improvement along with the Murray actually trying to field the best team possible is going to make the team at least look much better game in and game out.
